Set up email on iPhone
Introduction
Being able to send and receive email on the go without having access to your laptop or desktop computer can be invaluable, especially if you're waiting for an important business email. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use your Email account on your iPhone so you can check, send, and receive email on the go. Get started!
Please note that this tutorial assumes that you have created the email account in your cPanel first. If you have not already done so, please do so before reading further. Detailed instructions can be found in our guide to the Management of email accounts in cPanel.
You will need the following configuration data to set up your email account:
The name of the email account (this is usually the name of the account, e.g. support@meinedomain.ch).
The email password (you have created in cPanel)
IMAP/POP server mail.mydomain.ch (replace mydomain.ch with your domain)
IMAP/POP port (IMAP port: 993 POP3 port: 995)
SMTP server mail.mydomain.ch (replace mydomain.ch with your domain)
SMTP port (SMTP port: 465)
If you are an ORC web hosting customer and use our e-mail services, you will find the above details in the e-mail "Your web hosting access data". It contains the essential information about your hosting account with us.
You can also find the configuration details for your email in your cPanel account by navigating to the EMAIL > Email Accounts > Connect Devices section.

To set up your IMAP/POP3 iPhone email account
1. open the main screen of your Apple Mobile and click the Settings icon.
2. after you have clicked on this button, please scroll down in the settings, find the link "Password & Accounts" and click on this link.
3. you will then be redirected to a page where you can add an iPhone e-mail account. To do this, click on the "Add account" link.
4. the e-mail application offers you a list of e-mail providers that you can configure. Please click on the "Other" option at the bottom.
5. if you click on the "Other" option in the list, you will be taken to a page with different account types. Please select the top option "Add email account".
6. when the e-mail application redirects you to the "New account" page, you must enter the following information:
Name - Please enter a name for your email account. This can be the name of the person who uses the account.
E-mail - Please enter the NAME of the e-mail account. For example: "user@meinedomain.ch".
Password - Please enter the password for your email account.
Bscription - This text field is automatically filled in based on the domain name after the @.
After you have added all the details, click the Next button. Verifying the credentials may take some time.
Once the email is successfully added, you can access your newly added email account from the Apple Mail app.
When you click the "Mail" icon, you will be redirected to your inbox and see the new iPhone email at the bottom.
