What is the difference between the Customer Center and the cPanel?
There is an important difference between the Customer Center and the cPanel. To avoid misunderstandings, we will explain what you can do in each area and how you can use them.
Difference between the Customer Center and the cPanel
Customer Center
In the Customer Center you can manage your products such as hosting accounts, servers and domain names. Here you can purchase additional products and upgrade your existing ones. Here you'll receive news about our services, such as ongoing promotions, maintenance periods and reminders about outstanding invoices. Most importantly, the customer area is your direct line to our support team. You can submit tickets and review your entire ticket history with our technical specialists.
However, the most important thing about the Customer Center is that you can get to any login from here. So you don't need to remember multiple logins or access data. Remember the Access to the customer center and you have the logins to all the areas you have booked with us.
The login URL for the customer center is: https://cpclients.orcwebhosting.com/clientarea/
To log in please use the E-mail address and the Passwordwith which you have registered for our hosting services.
We have also created a separate tutorial on the Customer Center. Have a look at it, it contains some useful information for you: ORC Web Hosting Customer Center Overview
cPanel
The cPanel is the place where you can manage all the technical functions related to your hosting. This includes domain names, websites and email accounts. It consolidates all the necessary functions, such as the FileManager function to deploy, edit, delete or create new files, the Addon Domains function to add more domain names to your hosting account and change your directories, and the Email Account function to create email accounts, change your password or restrict your access rights.
It also includes information about your current resource and disk usage, as well as the AWstats feature, which is filled with data about access to your website, such as daily visitors, unique visitors, and the most frequently accessed URLs on your site. We have great tutorials on cPanel that you shouldn't miss!
When you log in to cPanel via the customer center, you don't need to remember any access data. You get into cPanel at the push of a button via SSO (Single Sign-On).
To log in to your cPanel via your browser, please use the URL, user name and password that you received in the "Your web hosting access data" email. If you have purchased one of our VPS or dedicated servers, you will find the login URL and login information in your server setup ticket.
Notice: The cPanel username is NEVER AN E-MAIL ADDRESS!
