Instructions on how to manage the PHP version of your web hosting account in cPanel
Introduction
PHP is the most widely used Programming language for web programming and especially for the creation of dynamic websites. As such, it is used by almost all Web hosting company supported worldwide. ORC web hosting is no different. PHP is natively supported by every web hosting package, along with several other programming languages. Like any modern programming language, PHP is constantly evolving to improve existing features and add new ones. With each new version of PHP, websites become faster and consume fewer resources.
When a website is created in PHP, a specific PHP version is usually used. This is the default PHP version for the website, which the programmer uses to guarantee that 100 % of the functions of the site work as expected. However, as mentioned before, PHP is constantly evolving and releasing new versions, so a corresponding PHP version selector is required. In our shared hosting packages, our customers have the option to select the PHP version they need for their websites for their web hosting accounts, and in the following lines of this tutorial, we'll explain the function of "MULTI PHP MANAGER" of cPanel in detail.
Access the Multi-PHP Manager in cPanel
To use the cPanel functions, you must first log in to the Register cPanel.
Once you are logged in, you will see all functions in separate function groups. To get to the "Multi PHP Manager" function, scroll to the "Software" function group. There you will find the "Multi PHP Manager" function.

If you click on the function, you will be redirected to the default page for this function. There you can change the PHP version.
Changing the PHP version for a domain
When you create a cPanel account, a default PHP version is automatically set for that account. This is the PHP version that any PHP script uploaded to your web hosting account will use. Please note that the default version may vary depending on how often PHP releases new versions.
To change the PHP version, first select the desired domain off. Then set a Check for the domain to be changed.
Then select in the Dropdown menu on the right side the desired PHP version off.
When you are ready, please click the button "Apply". This will activate the PHP version you have chosen for your domain.

Done. That's it.
Understanding how to configure the PHP service and update its versions is crucial for the smooth functioning of your websites.
